Lixuan Sun, PhD in Applied Linguistics, is an Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor, and Head of the Department of English at the College of Foreign Languages, Northeast Forestry University. He is also a postdoctoral researcher in Foreign Languages and Literature. His research interests include applied linguistics, translation and interpreting education, international communication, and teacher education.
Dr. Sun has received a number of national awards for teaching, including the Grand Prize in the National College English Teachers’ Teaching Skills Competition, the Grand Prize in the First National Business English Translation Teaching Competition, and the National First Prize in the “Teaching Star” Competition for Ideological and Political Education in the Curriculum.
He has led more than ten research and teaching projects funded by provincial and national-level institutions, including projects supported by the Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Youth Fund, the Provincial Education Science Planning Programme, the Provincial Higher Education Teaching Reform Programme, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the China Center for Foreign Language Strategies Research, as well as key foreign-language research projects funded by provincial and municipal federations of social sciences.
He has published multiple papers indexed in SSCI and SCIE and is the author of two academic monographs.
